"Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo" is a rock song written by American musician #RickDerringer. It was first recorded in 1970 by Johnny Winter and his band #JohnnyWinterAnd, of which Derringer was a member. In 1973, Derringer recorded a solo version.

Haven't played this in ages, the 1969 last album by The McCoys. Yes, this is the same group that hit big with "Hang On Sloopy" and which gave us guitar legend Rick Derringer.

Born 5th August 1947, singer/guitarist Rick Derringer. He came to prominence in the 1960s as the founding member of his band, the McCoys. Their debut single, "Hang on Sloopy", was a No. 1 hit in 1965 and became a classic of the garage rock era. #RickDerringer

Wrestling themes may have never reached the heights they eventually would had #RickDerringer not laid the foundation for Jim Johnston to build upon. The themes for Hogan and Demolition were true benchmarks and still rock to this day. #RIPRickDerringer Thanks for the music.
