First I check the @IcomOfficiel #RedLists. This type of object - relief sculpture from Iraq - is listed as highly likely to be looted. A reputable seller won't list it w/o explaining why a buyer shouldn't worry it's looted. No worries about looting if it's just a fake, of course!
