Die Spiralplattenfibel wurde bei amtlichen Grabungen im Jahr 1936 bei Pretzsch im Landkreis Wittenberg entdeckt. Die 19,5 Zentimeter lange Fibel ist aus Bronze gefertigt und datiert in den Zeitraum zwischen circa 1200 und 1150 vor Christus.
