PixelOver is made for making pixel art animations so I probably wouldn't recommend using it for this. Next time I'm just going to use Blender for it.

You need program that lets you animate characters with bones. I used a software called PixelOver but I'm sure something free like Blender or OpenToonz would be just fine.

I drew her in another program and split her up into pieces so I could rig them. I swapped out different faces when i needed to

Although I haven't posted it yet, the avatar creation is progressing smoothly. I've finished working on PixelOver, and am now finishing it as pixel art with Aseprite.
This time, the appearance isn't that spectacular, so I'll refrain from posting a WIP and aim to finish it as soon as possible.😂

Some (slow) progress on that character.
Hard to sync time and motivation together these days.

I'll probably have to tweak everything so I can animate it in #PixelOver without too much post-correction in #Aseprite afterwards.

For now, the first running animation is pretty much finished.
The face was a little scary at first, but it looks fine with some tweaking. PixelOver did a great job!👍

The pixel art is not yet complete, but the flow of the first part is pretty much done.
I ran into another problem with outputting the image from PixelOver, but I think I can fix it by hand. 😂I'll keep working on it.

this post blew up a lot more than I expected, LOL

but no, this is not a animation from the original game!! I rendered this with a recreation model I did, then threw it through pixelover/aseprite!

I'll eventually release the model once I do a non-mixamo rig for it

I didn't understand the flow of creating animations. I've learned about tracks.
