11 of the 12 MVMNWSurrey local group members present at the social event at the Wheatsheaf pub in Woking on 5th December 2026. Lots of smiling faces, MVM beermats held up, warmth, fun and hope! One side of one of those MVM - branded beermats with a blend of colour from yellow at the top to purple at the bottom and including the following text and imagery in white: - "GETTING THE ROUND WRONG - WHAT WE WANTED:" (followed by an illustration of a round of drinks - 2/5 are soft drinks), "WHAT WE GOT:" (followed by an illustration of 5x soft drinks - an analogy for our broken FPTP voting system). "This is how UK elections work. You wouldn't expect it in a pub, so why is it OK for Parliament? makevotesmatter.org.uk" A photo of 2 bar tables once everyone had left - evidence of lots of drinks, lots of MVM beermats and a lovely time had by all!
