A few short years ago, the walls between the planes shattered in the wake of the New Phyrexian invasion. Though they were defeated, the fallout from their intrusion runs deep; landscapes still bear the scars of Realmbreaker, the leylines of magic still flicker with uneasy bursts of wild sorcery, and countless families still grieve their losses. But the cracks ran farther than anyone could’ve guessed. And where the Multiverse fractured, something slipped through. You are an adventurer, a denizen of the Magic Multiverse. For some time now you have felt a strange presence in your mind, an inescapable and implacable pull tugging at your thoughts in every waking hour. As if unbidden, you have found yourself following it, leaving your old life behind and venturing out into a vast Multiverse that now is latticed and linked by the awesome power of the Omenpaths. Though the enemies you find may leave you beaten and broken, you know that the fate of the Multiverse itself has been laid at your feet, but to finally defeat this enigmatic and impossible threat you will have no choice but to BREACH THE MULTIVERSE$

FOREWORD

Breach the Multiverse is a combination of TTRPG and Magic: the Gathering - each month players will play games, earning experience which will then be spent on upgrades for their deck and character, powerful in-game actions, and deciding the direction of a central narrative that guides their actions.

Breach is played through games of Commander, with special encounters against the GM that use the Archenemy format variant. In Breach, players combine their efforts to defeat an incursion carried out by The Outsider, an extra-multiversal being that threatens the fabric of the Multiverse.

Players begin the game by building a Pauper EDH (pEDH) deck, which is upgraded over the course of the campaign to reflect how they grow in strength and power.

The GM pilots decks that represent aspects of The Outsider, and as such don’t obey the same deckbuilding rules as players; accordingly, fighting - and perhaps even defeating - the GM is like taking on a difficult bossfight, requiring players to win or lose as a team.

Due to the power disparity at the beginning of the narrative, players are not expected to win against the GM from the off – you’re fighting the final boss every month, after all! However, every battle a player participates in is an opportunity to earn experience, which is spent on unlocking upgrades both for themselves, and for the players as a whole.

By the end of the campaign, players’ decks will look radically different from where they started, and - if all goes well - as a team they will have earned a triumphant victory, defeating The Outsider, or borne witness to the destruction of the Multiverse as we know it.

If I did go I would totally bring my out dated commander pet deck, my bracket 1 oops all angels, a pauper deck, my Pendragon deck... Idk if I would have room for another but I'd brew pEDH on site frfr
