A curious landscape, a shingle bank, chewed by the North Sea. Home to radar arrays, a lighthouse, an atomic research facility, wildlife, and inexplicable slightly dangerous looking chunks of metal.

This is from a hike earlier this fall, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Mont Ham. You can't tell from my video but the colours were beautiful along the route, especially through Orford and Bromont.

two tall, flowering Echium pininana, also known as "Tower of Jewels" with their massive, conical spires of blue-purplish flowers, which can grow to be very tall. A round, bronze-colored sculpture with a swirling pattern is positioned between the two plants. Lady Wallace’s death (in London) was registered by Edward Maude Scott, rector of #Sudbourne & #Orford, who was present at her death. Sir Richard sold Sudbourne in 1884, so Edward must have remained close to them.
