The whole places computers seem to mainly consist of Linux machines. Which is pretty nice.

One of the employees seemed to be setting up OpenWRT from theirs. So that’s pretty cool.

Fritzbox! or something that runs OpenWrt.

Or even a low power SBC with two ethernet ports and Linux or OpenWRT.
Apart from security there are loads of routers supplied by ISPs that are otherwise rubbish.

A very long time ago (1995) we even used a 386 running NT 3.51 and an ISDN card.

@briankrebs TP-Link is the only one of the big vendors that put a "Supports OpenWrt" label on their packages and that has been the deciding reason why I'm sticking with them.

ルータをはじめ、ネットワーク機能に特化したLinuxディストリビューションである「OpenWrt」に複数の脆弱性が明らかとなった。アップデートが提供されている。

脆弱性「CVE-2025-62526」は、イベントの登録処理に不備に起因し、ヒープバッファオーバーフローが生じる脆弱性。認証を必要とすることなく細工したメッセージによって任意のコードを実行されるおそれがある。

また特定環境下でPTMモードを利用している場合に、ローカル環境で権限の昇格が可能となる脆弱性「CVE-2025-62525」が判明した。
