I ordered the Nimble 5e box set. I never thought that I would buy another 5e related game. Yet from all that I have read and seen about it I wasn’t able to resist buying it. Luckily I was able to get the KS box set.

From what I have seen it’s the kind of game that I would like.

I do like what I have read so far of #Nimble5e.
Rules are drafted simply, with a strong emphasis on communicating the rules in lieu of flavour-text.
Which as a writer, but also a gamer, I approve of.

Not sure as yet how these rules would work in play.
The play's the thing, all that.

I am planning to spend the afternoon reading my kickstarter collection of #Nimble5e to ascertain if I can still use the system to run my story/campaign idea.

Think I can. But knowing and not assuming is half the battle!

Now the challenge of putting a group together to play a game or campaign sometime. And by 'challenge'? I mean 'miracle'.

Just pulled the #Nimble5e boxed set from my mailbox! Can hardly wait to get a closer look at the materials. First glance there's some great artwork in the books, the gm screen is a shorter format than my preference but seems to have actually useful stuff on it!

How many standalone 5E clones/spinoffs/replacements are there now? Off the top of my head -- Level Up A5E, Black Flag, Goodman just announced Advanced Advantage. There's Nimble5E but that seems less clone and more '5E compatible' if I understand right. Cubicle7 were, but changed course I think?

If I have a #ttrpg related dream it would be to run a Nimble 5E campaign through Foundry using maps I made in Dungeon Alchemist. With an LGBTQ+ player crew.

I like DnD, but I don't really like running DnD as a games master. After being underwhelmed by the upcoming changes (many of which are good!) I'm much more excited to try Nimble5e next time I want to run DnD. The backerkit live streams have given me a lot of confidence in the designer!
