While #NCSS2025 may be in the books, we're still thrilled with all that we experienced during those few days in Washington, D.C. #CivicEducation matters, and the many educators, students, and more who showed up proved just how impactful it can be.

We couldn't agree more with 2025 American Civic Education Teacher Award winner, Rob Schulte! Civic education empowers students to achieve everything they dream of.

This was an absolute delight. Mark is a stellar, stellar educator -- and yes, a total hoot. We missed @sydgolston.bsky.social very much, but she was there in spirit guiding us through the ever so important topic of boarding schools. #ncss #ncss2025

Afterwards, Andrea and I walked down to the White House to see the National Christmas Tree (so disappointing & not the one on the pic) and met my niece Abby for a quick visit. Then we were off to a Happy Hour thanks to @retroreport

Then I got to be in the room with Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Hearing her speak about the law, justice and her confirmation woven together with personal stories of her parents, her mentors, and the college best friends who lifted her up was profoundly inspiring. #NCSS2025

Closing out an inspiring @socialstudies.org #NCSS2025.
Deeply grateful for the educators who showed up ready to learn, question, and collaborate. Heading home thinking about what’s next especially how we continue advancing #religiousliteracy. Already sketching ideas for #NCSS2026.
