My Metonic WIP: Sonic wakes Silver in a drunken mess, freaking out over a series of texts accidentally sent to Eggman. When Eggman sends Metal to correct Sonic's mistake, the situation awakens long buried emotions for the both of them.

"I've been wondering," Sonic starts, idly stroking his fingers along the edge of Metal's engine, "since you can supposedly perfectly mimic living beings like this... Does that mean you can bleed?" Metal looks at him, blank-faced and unimpressed. "Why do you want to know?"Sonic shrugs, tilting his ears back so Metal won't see the flush staining the inside of them. "Call it simple curiosity." Metal stares at him for a long moment, long enough that Sonic honestly worries that he just won't respond—and then he sighs and melts into a puddle. That part is even weirder than usual, since Sonic is still lying on top of him. He rolls off, then sits up and looks at Metal who has reformed into—himself. Sonic tilts his ears back even further, pinning them nearly flat. "Why did you become me?" "It's merely convenient. I already had your bio-data copied," Metal says, in Sonic's voice, wearing Sonic's face. That's weird, obviously, it's really fucking weird, but at the same time... "Is it a problem? I would think the specific form I take shouldn't matter, so long as it's organic." "It's just..." Sonic looks at Metal, then trails his eyes down his body. His own body. Chaos, it really is like looking in a mirror. He swallows thickly. "Nothing. It's nothing. You're right; this is fine." "Well then..." Metal places his arms behind him and leans back, head tilted at a cocky angle Sonic just knows he's copying from him. "Go ahead. Try to make me bleed." Sonic's head swims. He sways a little, then leans in and places his hands on Metal's shoulders. He probably should have grabbed a weapon, but he honestly didn't think Metal would agree to this. If he leaves now, he's afraid he'll break the moment, so— Sonic presses his open mouth against Metal's neck, then bites down. Hard. It takes effort to break the skin, but not nearly as much as he was expecting. Something liquid does seep out from the bite-mark, though it's colder than blood should be. He pulls away and looks at the wound. As expected, it's not blood; it's liquid metal, flowing from the wound for only a few seconds before it gets reabsorbed by Metal's skin and the wound closes up as if it was never there. "Hm." Metal brings up a hand to touch his neck, where the wound was mere seconds ago. He looks at his fingers after, seeming almost disappointed to find no blood staining them. "Seems I can't bleed after all." "Yeah, but..." Sonic hesitates, then thinks fuck it. "You could make it look like blood, right?" Metal looks at him, confused for a moment before his lips curl into a smirk. "I could." "Cool," Sonic breathes. "So can you...?" He barely waits for Metal to nod before he leans in and repeats his earlier action, biting Metal's neck until he breaks the skin. This time when he pulls back, the liquid flowing from it is red. It looks—good. The red stands out against the blue of Sonic's fur, and it's—pretty. Really pretty. Sonic feels a little faint. He leans in again without thinking, adding another bite mark to Metal's body, on the shoulder this time. He's about to bite him again when he thinks something's missing and blurts out, "Could you pretend it hurts?" Metal looks at him flatly. "What." "Like—you know." He looks away, hoping Metal can't see his blush but knowing it's probably obvious. "Groan, and stuff."For a moment Metal says nothing. Just when Sonic is about to say never mind, that's stupid, he says, "Okay." Sonic swallows. He leans in again—and Metal does groan when he bites him, a convincing sound of pain. It makes heat stir in his abdomen, and he only gets a few more bites in before he thinks whatever, I might as well go all the way and climbs into Metal's lap.
