Tourism Hamilton markets us as the City of Waterfalls. We have the Niagara Escarpment to thank. What I didn't know is that the escarpment ranges all the way from Western New York, through to Manitoulin Island, Michigan & Wisconsin. It's a remnant of glacial erosion. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara...

Manitoulin Island is the largest freshwater island in the world. The Cup and Saucer trail is a good hike. Even better when followed by a couple of *Cup and #Saucer ales from Manitoulin Brewery.

Growing up in Manitoulin, my highschool had an optional course that I took senior year, that focused on the indigenous community (Manitoulin has large unceded first Nations reserve, the school itself was located on Mchigeeng first Nations reserve) I was the first only white kid who took it, but....
