Mk11 was such a BEAST of a game in every aspect. Is one of those games where you can say they did everything right.
MK1 seems a little smaller scalewise in comparison. While divisive in a lot of things, it's fun to play and looks awesome.

I do have to ask myself, where does Mortal Kombat go from here both as a story and gameplay wise? MK11’s story being so abysmal might have genuinely tainted the series and I think MK1 did the best that it could even with the incredibly weird third act. If the kameo system comes back please fix it.
My pick for the most disappointing game I played this year easily belongs to Mortal Kombat 1. It sucks to say because while there are things I really enjoyed about it such as the invasions and the first half of it’s story mode, actually playing it normally or online left a lot to be desired.

That's what I mean by "A waste of a reboot."
MK11 did a fine job of wrapping up the story the previous trilogy told, and se the stage for a clean restart.
And the MK1 decided that no, we're going to take the previous plot and double down on it.

I instantly love this when I first heard her as Snidel in MK11, and I was happy when she returned for MK Mobile and MK1.

Mk11 felt more polished than Mk1, like Mk11 was designed poorly but it felt intentional... Mk1 feels less like a labor of misguided love and more a confused smthn or other

I've played the the majority of the Mortal Kombat games (about 85%-90%), and I love the originals (one of the first games I owned on Sega. After Sonic 2. I was 5). The story/stories from MK11 and MK1 though are probably my favorites in awhile.

Mortal Kombat 11 was egregiously bad with it. I feel like they tuned it down for MK1, but the gore in MK11 was so fucking rancid in comparison.

Obviously this is subjective but calling mk11 ugly absolutely blows my mind. And I think mk1 is noticeably more cartoon than 11.

I get that your upset that your favorite characters are not in the game, but that doesn't mean the game is bad. MK11 didn't have Reptile playable (he's my favorite) and I can't deny that MK11 was an amazing game, and MK1 is even better, not just because of Reptile but for many other reasons

infelizmente é vdd, esse jogo foi só hype e fanservice, mk11 n teve uma historia das melhores, a gameplay n era tão fluída, tinha problema com personagens desbalanceados, etc, mas realmente tinha um dos melhores sistemas de cosmeticos e o jogo era visualmente lindo, comparado ao mk1 é um jogasso msm

I thought it was that “Damashi” AKA Titan Shang Tsung was the result of another timeline where he became the Master of Time. I mean even Titan Shang Tsung’s outfit looks similar if not the same to an MK11 attire they did for him. It’d be the same reason why Titan Havik existed in the MK1 extension.

As much as I like lizard Baraka. I kind of wish they used his default MK11 look. It's so unfair that he only got two character cards and other characters get at least three or more. Hopefully in the future he'll at least get his MK1 or MK2 movie design
