#LinkedPasts is a working symposium rather than a traditional conference (no papers or presentations). The activities we are calling for can be demos, training, discussion groups, coding sprints, knowledge exchange, a chance to progress on working groups in person once a year, planning new projects…

This year's #LinkedPasts will be entirely decentralised and fairly hands-off; there's no hosting institution and the programme committee are only compiling a list of activities. Individual proposing organisers and communities will do all the work.

Activities at #LinkedPasts are more goal-oriented than a conventional academic conference, are proposed, developed and revised by the participants, and include new or continuations of workshops, training, discussion, editing or documentation sprints, and SIGs from previous symposia or other venues.

The annual #LinkedPasts symposium brings together scholars, heritage professionals and other practitioners with an interest in Linked Open Data as applied to the study of the past.
