The problem is the used solder. In the early 90s (your A500 is an early revision from the 80s) they started to use leadfree solder. That's a huge problem with this boards.

I guess pretty soon she will be cancelled too and leaded gasoline will be all the rage again…. Leadfree gasoline is woke after all.

Custom weird tools just seem to reproduce at my bench.

It occurred to me that with the spool holder already being gas pipe, I could add some little gas pipe horns, and stick my flux pen and flux syringe cap into the horns, thus, flux dispenser as well as solder dispenser.

Also, it has horns on it.
