I sometimes wonder whether I really belong in the #UngradingChat in that I would describe my approach as #LaborBasedGrading rather than ungrading....but I emphasize that the system trusts them, trusts the assignments are a vehicle for learning, and frees our time for talking about their growth.

Appreciate the “transparency” part here since traditional grades are anything but. I see that you’re using #LaborBasedGrading— I’ve been using a hybridized version of this that I refer to as “labor reflex,” where students’ labor is the primary focus of reflection & self-assessment. #Ungradingchat
