Some more of Tony Levison’s previously unseen Albert Johanneson photos- his dad invested in a high tech colour camera so the photos now become better quality. Willie Bell was another regular visitor to their house.AJ was living in Moortown at the time.

My pal the footballer…Some more of Tony Levison’s Albert Johannesson photos. Tony is the little lad in the photos taken in the early 60s. His dad owned Project records on the same Harehills parade as Big Jack’s shop so got to know a lot of the players.

2/2 I’ve been in contact with a bloke called Tony whose dad was a great friend of Albert’s in the 60s. He was also a keen photographer and had a high quality camera. Tony is digging out some more photos like this, and I’ll share them when I get them.

Leeds 4 Everton 1, March 1965. Bremner, Peacock and 2 from Johanneson in front of a 29,000 crowd. The camera gantry was right at the back of the open kop providing a good ‘fan’s eye’ view of the pitch which looks like a ploughed field!
