It fiiiiiiiinished!!! At least the knitting part is! I still have to settle on how I want to do the tassle/frill on the ends.

And I kinda feel like I want to put some buttons in place to hold that nice diamond shape at the chest...

I’ve known for a long time but this confirms it - I’m incapable of following a knitting pattern to the letter if I have any choice.

I went with the moon phase pattern from the Ixchel rather than the sun-moon-sun of the pattern.

I’m kinda proud of getting the maths right though.

The motif is stars then below that a round of moon waxing and waning from full at centre front to dark and back to full on each arm. The tension is appalling, but I’ve done it three times and that’s as good as it gets - it’s going to get primped and blocked and hopefully that will help. Fingers crossed.
