I once took javascript from webkit embedded it in some c-code and used it as a library.. had to wire up objc -> stringarrays etc but it worked .. sometimes its possible to take libraries and just link them in and wire up stuff to make them work.. I was running jscript nodes in a vpl we created :)

That is the one thing that makes me less fond of python, jscript and other similar languages. I am much more comfortable in a type safe world. I actively avoid constructs such as var (c#) and auto (c++).

#Windows 11 (23H2) は、素のままで HTA (JScript) が動作する。 Win.10 では手を加えなければ動かないので、ちょっと嬉しい驚き。 しかしボタンやボックスなどのコンポーネントレイアウトは微妙に崩れるので調整が必要だ。 やはり C# とかに移植すべきか……。

You could change the language mode in VS Code (bottom right) to JavaScript and save the files. GML is quite similar to JScript.
