The new characters are totaly unbalanced, besides Blaze who is still pretty annoying despite that.
Silver can just fucking fly and toss you around like a Frisbee, with the SHORTEST cooldowns for no good reason ontop of that.

when i started watching #TheBoys homelander was my favorite because he's insane & funny. then it was black noir the more i saw of him. when he died it was frenchie for a while. now it's just homelander and black noir. they're unique and fun.

Hard also not to see this as a weird reaction to the dominance of superheroes with general audiences in pop culture over anime as a whole. That's why slicing people down the middle into blood fountains is cool but Homelander tearing an arm off is for "edgelords". It's all broadcasting insecurities.
