Because honestly I think Jenova was just some space roaming alien, crashing onto planets and infecting things. It's what it did with the Cetra. Its presence clearly affected Sephiroth, but instead of viewing it as a threat, because why would she given the information Hojo fed her,

It's probably coincidence that Roche and Glenn share facial features but it's wild that one day, inevitably, these two will come into contact as two cloaked figures and Glenn will have to look Hojo and Rufus in the eye at their choice of SOLDIER bloodhound and go, "hey, so,, what the hell is THAT"

James Sie's performance as Hojo in FF7 Rebirth is fantastic.
Hojo is a mad scientist caricature, which is tricky to play well. You have to be over the top but still believable.
