I hope FF7Re3 incorporates more of the extended Final Fantasy universe than Gilgamesh. Not saying I want a Dissidia style crossover, but like maybe Omega and Shinryu can show up or be referenced. Idk the timeline dimension parts of the story give them a lot that they could take advantage of.

Myths having that weird mystical feel to them is exactly what appeals to me 😆 there's some sense of mystery that tickles my brain a lot

Meanwhile ancient Greek, and by extension Latin, picked up an enormous amount of material from various cultures in the ancient Near East, Semitic and otherwise. Gilgamesh got picked up (probably from the Assyrians) and recycled into...the Iliad.

Yeah I've always loved mythology I guess? One of my fond childhood memories was reading this huge book of Egyptian mythology in my town's library. During year one covid when I was on light duty I read Gilgamesh lol

Finally defeated Gilgamesh in FFVII Rebirth! The fight does take a while if you don't save it for post game, but boy, it is satisfying when you beat it early. My party was Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret for the fight. Limit Siphon on Barret and Pray on Yuffie came in clutch. Very useful materia!
