Does anyone know a way to get good GeoJSON for neighborhoods? Like the city of Austin publishes some but they’re related to the way the city is administered not the actual neighborhoods

For #30DayMapChallenge day 5: Earth, I wasn't particularly motivated until I remembered that one guy in Auckland (AoNZ will understand what I mean) so learned to process geojson- Earthquakes (+) over 3.5 Magnitude, south of -38.8 and where and how strongly they were felt. #rstats code in alt text

GeoArrow is undoubtedly a superior format to GeoJSON, yet GeoJSON remains the dominant standard in web browsers. I'm hoping we'll reach a point where using GeoArrow is just as easy and seamless as using GeoJSON. I hope my talk helps to figure out what's still missing in the ecosystem.

Ahhhh the soothing feeling of hiding in the Studio (trying to adjust to our rebrand from two separate labs to the Creative and Critical Data Studio) and spending a morning adding VIAF and Wikidata identifiers and GeoJSON to a data repo.

I further filter from a geographical area to avoid false positives. Red= filtered, purple= pre-filter. (Diff. timespan, dots illustrative.) There will be some false positives left. The geojson is an estimate by me, based on a certain look that I cant quantify but is visible?

This makes me inordinately happy every time I see it. :)
We/I try to use semantic versioning but a major bump feels so... major to me! Love seeing that it doesn't have to be!

Most user-friendly: @Datawrapper.be has tons of predefined maps all around the world. And you can upload your own GeoJSON file if that's not enough. One of the students in my workshops used this to build an interactive map of a conference hall, with booths and everything!

Question for the GIS/GTFS crew:
Say I have a collection of route shapefiles I've converted to GeoJSON and layered onto a custom basemap. Now say I want to pick up this layer and place it on top of another city to create a visual comparison of two service areas. What tools can do this and how?

And I generate the JSON file with whatever tool I want (Kotlin so far) and the map tool is basically a viewer that I plug in the JSON data file + precincts GeoJSON file in and does the bare minimum of what I need.
