80%+ of women booked into jail are mothers, including over 55,000 who are pregnant when admitted.
They have to leave their children in someone else’s care, and face higher risk of mental health problems, suicide, and ending up unhoused or deprived of essential support and benefits. #FreeBlackMamas

I'm not really focused on traditions. One exception: ahead of each Mother's Day I make a point to do my part to #freeblackmamas who cherish their children as much as I do mine.
Bail is not a public safety issue. It's a who has money issue.
