Schematic workflow of accessing and processing all primary data sources into VegVault v1.0.0 database. A project-specific version with all the settings used for VegVault is stored as GitHub repository VegVault-FOSSILPOL (can be accessed as https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14745060); (8) The GitHub repository VegVault-Vegetation_data used to processes data for contemporary vegetation plots (can be accessed as https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.16729978); (9) A GitHub repository VegVault-Trait_data used to processes data for plant vegetation traits (can be accessed as https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.16729756); (10) The GitHub repository VegVault-abiotic_data used to process climate and soil abiotic data (can be accessed as https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14745293); (11) The GitHub repository VegVault used to integrate all data together and migrate them into SQLite database (can be accessed as https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.16987345).
