Day 2 of the #FestiveTankChallenge and before getting stuck into the pre-Christmas tidy up I assemble the hull of this Warlord Games Panzer IV kit.

Primed and basecoated dark grey.
Two subtle levels of grey drybrush highlights.
Tracks done in brown and gunmetal, black rubber on roadwheels.
Coat of gloss to prepare for enamel shading.
Plan for tomorrow is shading grey, and decals.

Returned from the wild outdoors to another 45 mins of wielding the enamel and weathering pigments. I'm calling this Panzer IV H done... thanks so much for organising @tomjmegan.bsky.social - it's been a blast.

Between changing diapers and some last minute wrapping I’ve completed assembly on the Panzer IV for #FestiveTankChallenge2024. Just need to magnetize the turret, clean some mould lines and (maybe) add some stowage. Then it’s off to the priming table.

It’s well into the New Year and I’ve failed to put paint on my Panzer IV, but I did manage to almost assemble another one.😀 Also dug out a third and fourth one. Wonder if the oldest mold might be considered collectible now? FestiveTankChallenge#

I had forgotten what a pig these are to assemble or maybe it’s my failing eyesight? I just cut off the bits off the drive gears where they attach to the sprues which will be hidden anyway. I will have to find a Tamiya green to match the Humbrol I used decades ago. #FestiveTankChallenge
