Last month I was bemoaning the lack of subjects on Aberdeen Art Gallery stairs. Thankfully, festive footfall gave me a lot more choice this month.

Aberdeen art gallery staircase is very dark. It has natural light from a gap to the atrium and LED light from its bannisters. One of which is recessed and clad in copper for a lovely warm glow. Four people are at the top of the stairs, one of which is a small child. Everything is blurred by slowing the shutter and moving the camera, a technique known as Intentional Camera Movement or ICM
