i wish i'd been more cynical. instead of just being happy to have trans community, to have said "actually it is important to specifically be spending time with other trans fems" and sought out the kinds of people who would yell some sense into me instead of telling me i'm valid

i think my experiences are different than most trans fem's, and i have a lot more in common with trans mascs or cis women, but i don't fit in fully there either. So I just feel alienated, and I can feel the palpable resentment a lot of dyadic trans fems & trans mascs carry against me

sorry for the ramble,,, tldr is i feel like being trans is a delicate balancing act between safety and being seen (and much more so for trans fems), and medical transition is one tool in shifting that balance. but the ratio to begin w is different for everyone, and you are your gender no matter what

as much as i love trans fems (being t4t is a blessing) it's so frustrating that searching for ftm gay porn results in getting targeted by ads/recommended videos with trans women. and it's even more frustrating when those ads are so fetishistic

And also many other kinks/kink settings are kinda sketchy when you think about it but it felt like specifying the one largely populated by trans fems just felt targeted. That said I don't think HDG is above criticism, I just think that someone should keep in mind its origins when criticizing it.
