The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has promised to strengthen its partnership with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to enhance security coordination and service delivery in Abuja. This was stated in a statement issued by Monica Ojobi, the Public Relations Officer, NSCDC FCT Command, on Wednesday. The FCT Commandant of NSCDC, Olusola Odumosu, made this known when he met the FCT Controller of Immigration, Sharifat Ronke Ibrahim, during a courtesy and acquaintance call in his office.

Abuja is the capital city of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, strategically situated at the geographic midpoint of the country within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). As the seat of the Federal Government of Nigeria, it hosts key national institutions, landmarks, and buildings spread across its over 50 districts. It replaced Lagos as the capital on 12 December 1991.
