I hear Shadowtail is a little squirrelly at night, but he's not afraid of the dark—it's his natural habitat.

Late evening as the sun sets on the Little Etobicoke Creek Trail, Mississauga. Ontario.

‘The Etobicoke data centre … was approved to use up to 39.75 litres of water per second for cooling purposes, according to planning documents submitted to the city. That would be the equivalent of around … 500 Olympic-sized swimming pools.’ Worth reading this one… 1/3 www.cbc.ca/news/ai-data...
Thirsty AI data centres are coming to Canada, with little scrutiny or oversight | CBC News
Canada is poised to join the data centre boom. But as such projects face greater scrutiny around the world, there is little debate here about what this will mean for the country’s water.

Here's one from a few days ago if you can make use of it. Getty won't take it because it's slightly blurry from the drone bouncing around in the wind.

It's 12 MB as I'm uploading it here, Bluesky might butcher it though. Resolution is 5280 x 2970.

"Inner suburbs" tends to get used a lot for Scarborough, Etobicoke, and North York (away from the line 1 spine).

Not fully accurate given that a lot of our SFH neighbourhoods are never that far away from high-rise builds, but good enough for local context.

This is such an important connection. Basically unlocks Weston and a chunk of Etobicoke beyond it. Right now the ride along Trethewey is worse than trying to pronounce it.
Best news of the day? The Trethewey Drive Cycling Connections project isn't a Bill 212 casualty and public consultations are happening October 29! First impressions we are very intrigued by this updated proposal for bidirectional cycle tracks which arguably suit the characteristics of the road.

Even the Garrison, buried for nearly a century, sent sewer grates flying atop geysers in Trinity Bellwoods Park.
