#Elites
The public & politicians are different and a racist like Mansfield is convinced the reason that his views on race amongst the public have been unpopular and his views on EU membership amongst elites have been unpopular is just down to BBC brainwashing - which is an internally incoherent conspiracy

Because the shutdown started to affect the elites with flight cancellations.

They are so spineless that’s all it took

They treat us like we’re MAGA—instead of listening to us, they tell us how it’s going to be.

There is no such thing as representative government anymore.

It’s just a bunch of wealthy elites playing money games.

Let’s shut it down ourselves.

Anduril is the name of the defense contractor founded by Palmer Luckey (Oculus VR and Matt Gaetz’s brother in law) and Trae Stephens (partner at Peter Thiel’s VC Founder’s Fund and husband of the founder of ACTS17 meant to “minister to elites” and which funded Thiel’s weird antichrist lectures).

What's the best field to pursue a PhD in if you want to do a doctoral dissertation on why American elites are so uniquely awful?

Don't underestimate how much the US elites have fallen for their own ideology that America is the best democracy ever invented and no fix is needed.

The oligarchs ended the shutdown themselves, after forcing widespread suffering upon millions of people. They aren’t going to release files that implicate their class of elites. This is hopium.

One of the biggest failures of the antebellum South in terms of its readiness was its wealthy elites’ unwillingness to diversify their economic activities away from the old reliables, imo

As in: not actually that smart or accurate, but shiny to shallow elites 🤷‍♀️

Liberal Elites Kicked the Door Wide Open for Trump’s Flagrant Corruption
The president’s corruption is audaciously out in the open, but decades of letting the wealthy play by their own rules enabled him.

This article is very heartening in a way that some elites are standing up and there is still living memory of what was right and virtue. From dying embers ….

Right now, the 'opposition party' in a budding dictatorship is running around telling the media that opposition is impossible. Before they've even tried any actual opposition, and when their constituency is begging them to.

The elites in this country want fascism.

One of the things I find so interesting about this is it’s true in other places too! I have yet to see a study that finds elites think the public is more liberal than it really is.

Respectfully people are furious please announce your plans to primary Schumer forthright. We need real leadership that isnt bought and paid for by elites. Time to chuck Chuck out of office.

It does seem that the political ruling class is in need of the same shake up as the medical elites did. Just some thoughts I've been having since I've been reading medical histories again. This country is far enough removed from the actual memory of war on our soil that the politicians don't 3/

The POPGOV project argues that while modern representative government – which is characterised by regular elections and independent representatives – has become the main alternative to authoritarianism, it often serves to empower a narrow group of elites above others.

I would certainly NOT call them the ELITES.
But their cowardice will hurt the struggling American People & we will take note of their DIVISION & weakness.

Dems furious over Senate shutdown deal—calling it "complete BS" publicly.

Rare claws-out moment. Usually this happens behind closed doors.

Translation: Regular people lose again, elites making backroom deals. This cat smells something fishy. 📰↓

We should all be concerned, because financial crises (touched off by dodgy / opaque financing schemes) affect non-elites far more than elites.

See: credit default swaps, long term capital management, south seas bubble, tulip mania, etc.

The conversations between Brianna's killers show how much they mirrored the dehumanizing rhetoric of British elites towards trans people! Yet Esther Ghey can't shut up about how sad her daughter was, how addicted to social media she was, how she was online too much---it's fucking revolting!
