Spent a few hours today uninstalling my Lowrance Hook 5 and installing this Garmin Echomap UHD 75sv on a Yak Attack mount. Trying to decide which to go with and wanted to hear what might be pros/cons of each. I currently own the Garmin Echomap UHD 9sv with GT54 transducer but got a new kayak that came with a Lowrance Elite FS9 with 3n1 transducer. What are people’s experiences with these and which might be better for kayak fishing? What I’ve noticed so far after 1 day using the Lowrance: * Garmin felt easier to navigate the UI * Lowrance down scan seemed to actually highlight fish, making it easier to distinguish fish from submerged cover. Hi, I have tried to do my research on this and am looking for some clarification. I have a ‘Garmin Echomap SV’ currently in my boat. I am looking for a monitor or system upfront to mount so when I am at the front of the boat I can see the side scan, fish finder, maps, etc. what would you recommend for this? Would just like this so I can go(to the main Garmin) and mark spots I want to fish, while I’m still fishing from the front of boat. What recommendations do you have? I have attached a picture

Has anyone ever experienced this with their ice sonar? Does not read a depth, seems to be “searching” for the bottom when in auto range. Never had any issues and then last time I took it out it was doing this and won’t stop. Have tried another transducer and friend tested my transducer, it’s not the transducer. Posted by TheBeekman9

Sorry for all the questions but I wanna make sure I get this right. I’m looking for a battery to pair. In the future I would like to power a light pole and maybe a phone charger to it as well and I’m on the water for 8 hours at a time most times so would a 10 or 20 be right for me? Would just be the graph phone charger and light pole. Maybe upgrade transducer/live scope in the future.Posted by mild123

Hi. Looking to get a good fish finder for my brother's boat. He fishes on a couple of big lakes for pike and trout, but he's never used a fish finder before. I can get a used Garmin Echomap UHD92SV + GT56UHD-TM Transducer for €700 (approx $800). I like the idea of side view even though I know it would take him a while to get to grips with it. Does it matter that the UHD can no longer receive software updates? $800 is my budget so I can't go for the UHD2. Would this be a suitable buy? Thanks.
