The EU GSP+ is a #humanrights instrument meant to compel countries like the Philippines to respect human rights in exchange for lesser or zero trade tariff. So it is an issue if rights violations persist.

But you wouldn't know that just by reading most of Philippine media's reports on GSP+. #EUinPH

Unbelievable failure of journalism in the Philippines.

Of 14 stories I monitored online on the GSP+ assessment report on the Philippines, only 3 or 4 tackled the main component of GSP+: human rights. The rest just swallowed PH govt #EUinPH propaganda.
