We'll see - I got this neck and a matching body off a pile of guitar parts donated to #DecaturMakers by a member - looks like it came from an art installation - it was spray-painted black, but there's a neck under there. It's not a stock tele tho: blind fret slots with no binding and 20" radius?

A couple years ago this guy dropped off to #DecaturMakers #makerspace a box of guitar bodies and necks from an art installation, spray painted and coated in glitter. I grabbed a thinline body and neck that looked like a match - I just couldn’t let them go to a shelter!!

I just attended an amazing presentation by Tom Bentz at #DecaturMakers #makerspace members meeting. Tom designs and cuts fabulous creatures out of cardboard on our laser cutter (and he has a nice one of his own at home). He makes lots of other stuff too. Inspiring!

Finally finished assembling a flip-top table for the #OneFinity Woodworker X35 CNC at #DecaturMakers #makerspace. Our manager James cut out all the pieces! Perfect size for building electric guitars and other medium-sized milling projects. I hope to see more of our members developing CNC skills!

Finally finished assembling a flip-top table for the #OneFinity Woodworker X35 CNC at #DecaturMakers #makerspace. Our manager James cut out all the pieces! Perfect size for building electric guitars and other medium-sized milling projects. I hope to see more of our members developing CNC skills!
I spend the morning at my community #makerspace #DecaturMakers working on a new laser donated from our sister space #RoswellFirelabs - thanks folks! Maybe somebody will engrave something inspiring with it someday…

Our community makerspace Decatur Makers hosts "Dare to Repair" events in partnership with Dekalb County Public Libraries. Anybody can bring in something broken and we'll try to get it working again. We may have to do it more often. Reduce. Repair. Recycle. #makerspace #DecaturMakers

Even though it’s a school night I headed down to 529 to check out Yes Dear, a band featuring Evelyn (left), who has generously led our monthly guitar building workshops at #DecaturMakers #makerspace - SO glad I did as theirs is the kind of music I like to listen to most of all. Go see them.
