![I went for a more "modernist" approach for this one, although it still pays homage to the subject matter.
The background is blue. In golden-yellow (colors which recall the Union army), and in Poster Bodoni font (a font which had wide usage on Civil War recruitment broadsides), you have "1860 2025 1860 2025" repeating. On some lines, the 1860 is italicized, while on other lines, the 2025 is italicized. The lines are offset from one another, but in a predictable way, lending order to the typographic chaos. Some of the instances of "1860" or "2025" have been replaced with other (white) text, also in Poster Bodoni (italicized or not italicized according to which instance of 1860 or 2025 has been replaced, to keep that pattern going). The text reads:

The replacements are asymmetrical - the elements here are not neatly stacked atop one another, but are "coming through" where they can, like a signal cutting through noise - but still honoring the underlying typographic pattern.

Comparing Jayce to Coriolanus Snow in any capacity is Wrong but also in TBOSAS when Coryo experiences Appalachian wilderness for the first time he’s like “I will end it all if I am out here for five minutes longer” and I think that’d be Jayce at that cottage for the first few months

Timon of Athens & Troilus and Cressida are dark, disturbing satires from a period of startling experimentation. Coriolanus is his final great tragedy. All are great works but the differences between them are as stark and fascinating as the continuities.

gonna watch Coriolanus again tonight and continue thinking about what happens when we craft people into weapons then suddenly demand that they stop being weapons, all while toxic bilge is being poured into them from every platform in a whole media ecosystem.
