how about a 75 year mortgage, but you receive it upon conception

your god was the product of "an immaculate conception" and his girlfriend was a sex worker

What's crazy about this take is how the Sydney Sweeney discourse flared up again on X last week but was completely ignored on here. His brain is cooked on reactionary discourse and thinks everyone has his warped conception of a view on it.
the hipsters, they’re ordering double frufru mocha soy frappuccino. doesn’t anybody order a black coffee anymore

just a dead on example of how our flawed definition and conception of discrimination doesn’t stand up to scrutiny
“The dual class action suits allege that the functions—which followed thousands of sexual harassment and assault lawsuits against Uber and Lyft over the years— have limited the economic opportunities for men and discriminated against them because of their gender.”
Male Drivers Sue Uber and Lyft Over Women-Only Ride-Hailing
The lawsuits allege that male drivers receive fewer rides because of the feature, violating sex discrimination laws.

people have no conception of "and then you starved to death" being an outcome you had to worry about almost constantly

Before I had a son, I had no conception of how good the publicists for monster trucks are.

It's uneuropean, frankly. This conception of free speech belongs to a particularly fringe kind of gun-toting yank
The Forstater case broke something fundamentally in our democracy and nobody cared because it was happening to those fucking trannies at the time.
This is how transphobia's right wing fuckery blew open basic respect in the UK, there is absolutely no reason to expect now that being "women critical" is not also a protected belief, if you truly do not believe that women should just be reproductive slaves for cis men.

This will be used to abuse.

This man has no conception of leverage. I would love to be up against him in a negotiation. He would give away everything for nothing.

I love being denied my passport because a certain administration believes sex is determined at conception.

There's this weird conception that people have where the inflation/employment data is just released after the BLS does a vlookup command.

The CPS is based on interviews with 60,000 people every month! It's a ton of work to collect the data - if people are not working, there's nothing to release!
This is straight up disinformation. Don't post stuff like this, you're feeding a narrative that is just straightforwardly not true.
3-4 months ago, people were getting high and mighty about how employment data wouldn't be doctored and withheld and we are now at the point where the latter issue is now occurring. I don't think government shutdown is a good excuse, either lol.

Le pont tangue mais ne se brise pas.
Très bonne conception.

Wow! Hey what's the conception of Israel? Like what's its purpose? Is there any religious connotation with zionism or the state of Israel? Where does the name, "Israel" come from. Was it named after that big hawai'ian dude?

It is amazing to me that 'Americans have an insane conception of how much we spend on foreign aid and what we could do with that money' has been a common knowledge around me, regularly referenced, since my *high school lunch table* and yet it remains true and an effective tactic of demagoguery.
The entire project here is so cynical. "We have to end foreign aid until we fix unemployment and bad schools!"

ok are you working to fix those problems?

"No."

Something I am reminded of when I see something like this is how little the NY Times was ever read on Long Island growing up, and that my only conception of it was through my father, who considered it primarily a paper which despised unions like the one he belonged to. Just interesting.
There’s actually an obscure state law that says that if you’re a white guy who went to Harvard and you can say “nothing can be done” in a snide tone while posing as a pragmatist, the New York Times is legally obligated to publish anything you write

I'm serious. You should HATE these people. They have done so much damage to the American experiment, in their fever dreams to roll us back to a pre-Progressive Era conception of American government. We need to impeach and remove these motherfuckers from the bench.
Fuck these fucking conservative legal theorists and their fucking theories of plenary power. And it's not just the DOJ. It's Thomas. Alito. Kavanaugh. They are constitutional arsonists.
🚨BREAKING: President Donald Trump has broad unreviewable powers to flood U.S. cities with National Guard troops, the Department of Justice (DOJ) argued in an expansive new filing to the Supreme Court. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

During the W. era, the narrative of personal redemption was significant for the self-conception of that very evangelical-driven movement. Now, from Vance to Nuzzi, here the source of sin is located in the parents, where there’s much less empathy for alcoholism than a redemptive narrative allows.

No one under 40 or so was sexually active during a time before effective antiretrovirals existed. Add in the modern existence of PreP and it’s no surprise people don’t have conception of the 80s and 90s.

And yes, I am aware of the Magnificent Mile. I walked the area when I was in Chicago 3 weeks ago. But President Pudding-Brain has a fuzzy conception (at best!) of some shopping area in Chicago, and is literally making shit up about a place he's barely aware of and can't even name. That's my point.

infinitely more interesting than the meltdown liberals had over peter thiel and the anti-christ (except that Peter Thiel's conception of the anti-christ is a charismatic Lenin-esque communist leader)...

Anti-communism and GLOBAL anti-communism is at the HEART of tech fascism.
