I’ve been taking care of my Dad with Dementia at 80 and it looks very similar. Have to say my Dad is much more cognizant and aware. Dump is very advanced in his mental decline. Not much time left for him.

The charitable read is he posted an in-joke that he didn't realize how it read out of context. If (big if) that is genuinely the case he has some of my sympathy, but you simply gotta be more cognizant of what the hell you are saying and how it looks. At best it was an incredibly dumb move. At best.

It’s so painful being intelligent and cognizant of the world, then having to pretend life is normal to make a paycheck, and also fighting to educate/shield/nurture your children during it. Personally I’m suffering, I’m not alone.

I'd also love to see that. I see too many politicians holding large events without a mask in sight. It's one of the most major pieces of hindsight imo. The next mayor's term will likely coincide with a future pandemic or two. We need our leaders to be more cognizant about mitigation efforts. <3

He was alive and old enough of be cognizant of his surroundings during Reagan’s presidency, which means he most likely heard the speech. He either doesn’t remember due to dementia or is intentionally lying.

Both can be true in this case. He’s not a lone actor; he’s a tool of the Republican cartel. It benefits them whether he’s cognizant of what he does or not. None would be motivated to stop him.

It made me more cognizant of the things that were stealing my ability to be present as well.
Then I went to a presentation and something really stuck with me from the presenter who had dealt with a horrific car wreck and then cancer.

I have no connection to any of those beyond the American ones and if any family members made that distinction they passed away or stopped before I became cognizant of this.
