I had a revelation about why I’m stuck on my book, and it’s related to living with #LongCovid #MECFS, which is what the book is about (in #Poetry form) and I kinda wanna write a short personal essay about it and pitch it.

But where? And I’ll need help bc #CognitiveDysfunction

+ document search

= afternoon nap + straight to bed *for the night* by 8pm

I have at least 2 calls to make today, 1 form to fill out and get notarized, and 2 packets of paperwork to get out.

It will drain me more than painting my bathroom would do, which still feels wrong.

Is a bad day to have #CognitiveDysfunction flaring. Have a zoom mtg with my kids’ school - already canceled once bc I was paralyzed so it’s happening. Spouse will be with me but I know my processing is slow today and I’m not sharp. Boo. #LongCovid #MECFS

I can’t promise how much I’ll be on here. Adding more social media platforms is tricky with #CognitiveDysfunction and #ChronicFatigue but I’ll try my best! Being able to find community online is one of my favourite things. Here’s to those being loud about what matters 💛

#cognitivedysfunction is seeing your airpods are out of battery at 2:30 then holding the case in your hand until midnight without remembering why until you want to listen to music and realize, once again, there is no battery

Occasionally, I pushed beyond that to avoid forgetting my thoughts, but I always paid the price. On top of this, I dealt with daily migraines while writing.

The irony of writing about cognitive post-exertional symptom exacerbation (PESE) while constantly battling it myself is not lost on me.

This was one of the most challenging things I've ever done. While there wasn’t much blood (thankfully), there was plenty of sweat & tears. A huge thank you to Ciara & @sunsopeningband.bsky.social

We did it! 💚🎉
