i'd call it codependency, but it isn't such a negative thing. it's just... true, soulmate-level love. devotion. we chose to spend the rest of our lives together and we meant that! this kind of relationship isn't for everyone, but it sure is for us. we're a package deal!

codependency, resentment of your partner, lack of communication, lack of honesty, lack of transparency, being on the same chapter but not being on the same page, using social media or other people as goalposts for what relationships should be like, lack of compatability.

I think when you've been in codependencies for your whole life it can feel really strange to heal the trauma that engenders that type of connection.
It's not wrong to be in a codependency. It's human, actually. But it IS unsustainable. You just have reasons for being in them at the time. +

It really sucks when your all-in-one communication hub and gaming platform and workstation suddenly stops working, feels like I maybe shouldn't have an unhealthy codependency on a single piece of finicky technology. Oh well, I plan to learn nothing from this

alright Together is the best horror movie I've seen in 2025. made me feel physical and psychic discomfort in a deeply satisfying way. it manages to be an intelligent commentary on codependency without being a lecture, or overly serious

Jayla is Mason’s right hand, but for personal reasons, she doesn’t see a lot of action outside of research and lab work. She deeply cares about Mason and would hate for anything to happen to him, especially during a time of uncertainty as their plans to cover Teron in Never-Ending Darkness are almost complete. Of course these plans weren’t without their snags… A lot of them leaving Jayla mentally scarred and hoping to god that her failures never see the light of day as they could potentially lead into something catastrophic. Being a general ball of anxiety causes her to really only be comfortable around Mason to the point where it’s almost obsessive. But really it’s just horrible codependency.
