Incredible tone!!
One of the biggest things I miss is choral singing; being immunocompromised in a world with COVID means leaving it behind, but I still have the tenor line to the 9th memorized. So joyful to perform

Repertoire readiness brings peace of mind in high-pressure moments. My extensive jump-in repertoire allows productions to continue seamlessly.

This is a lovely thing - the first full-length album by Lucy Gooch, Desert Window. Lots going on. Avant-folk, classical, ambient, choral swells. And the title track in particular, is extraordinarily beautiful.

Rare photos of Ariana Grande playing an improvisational vocal abstraction set at a house show in Akron, Ohio circa 2013. people at the show described her loop-centric acapella work as "transformational" and "akin to John Zorn's choral work with Madrigals." She was opening for Talibam! and Moth Cock

Pondering what kind of background music you would even want for a kink-focused ttrpg session 🤔 The only thing I know WOULDN'T work would be bombastic epic scores.
Trying to describe someone's jiggling, sloshing asscheeks over an impassioned choral chant feels entirely too silly to keep up

AM church: the kid who turned 7 this week was feeling shy, so after negotiations, we wished ALL 7-year-olds a very happy birthday instead of singing to just one.
PM church: sang Choral Evensong for a charitable society’s 300th. Blair in B Minor, French P&R, Elgar & Runestad. Ridiculous, glorious.

Bistudeppert.

One of my neighbours has been listening to incredibly soothing harmonic choral music the last few days and I'm so curious what it is (it's either an album on their playlist or theme music for a tv show). It's so lovely and peaceful.
Like a bunch of people humming together and just radiating love.

#80sTop30 (xix) ‘The Last Film’ #KissingThePink. Somewhere between a synthy-militaristic and choral (or even hinting at plainsong) arrangement, this is a fantastically dynamic - and melodic - composition with a lyric still relevant now. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Las...

Okay, so the big, shimmering opening choral rush of "I'm Not In Love" just played in the bar I'm in perfectly in time with the TV showing an upward pan of the World Series trophy and I'm choosing to take that as a sign.

Vaughan Williams is known for his symphonies, choral works, and pieces inspired by English folk music.
However, his concertos are some of his most exciting and approachable compositions.
Over the next few days we'll be highlighting some of these wonderful works 🎶
