I'm constantly confused by people who see a higher poverty line as a progressive goal, as opposed to shifting focus away from the 40% of the world living on <1/10th of that amount.

$100k (PPP) for a family of 4
= 99.99th percentile in India
= 99th percentile in China
= 93rd percentile in the world

Issues at border must not define ties: China envoy | India News – The Times of India
NEW DELHI: As India and China consider more steps to normalise their relationship, Chinese ambassador to India Xu Feihong has reiterated Beijing's position that the "complex" border issue and "specific differences" should not define bilateral ties and hinder cooperation.Speaking at a seminar, Xu stressed that this would be in line with the fundamental interests of both countries and the common aspirations of their people. Without naming any country, he also expressed hope that India and China would work together to defend multilateralism and reject "unilateral hegemony"."The China-India border issue is very complex, and it will indeed take time to resolve it.

Everyday tech, extraordinary scale: What India can learn from China’s robotic revolution

Everyday tech, extraordinary scale: What India can learn from China’s robotic revolution
China has always piqued my curiosity, perhaps because the media tells us so little about its 5,000-year-old civilisation. I first visited the country with my grandfather in 2008 and loved every bit of it. But given how fast China has developed, I expected to see a completely different nation in 2025. I wasn’t wrong. I spent the entire month of April travelling through Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu, and realised that Chinese society is light-years ahead of most others.

You R gonna tell Putin to get out & you think...what is gonna happen?

You think "unprecedented" sanctions have worked so far?

You think the globe is ostracizing Russia when China & India R like 1/3 of the world by themselves?

Ukraine was already invited to Ukraine & that's how this got started.

But Char dyed his hair black with red highlights, and got a tan.
Like the book described him to have a tan so dark that he looks like an easterner with a sunburn...
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!

I'm guessing it means super brown???But like where in the east, like China Japan Korea India Philippines Iran???

Southeast Asia, China and the Middle-east have some of the most brutal Dictatorships. In fact, I would even add India as a Dictatorship, because voting alone does not make a country a Democracy.

What about your list?

When we're at war with China, Europe is going to look at us and tell us we need to step up and be responsible for our own defense. It's a serious security concern for Australia since they're still leasing us Military bases. It's gonna be Us, Japan, plucky little Taiwan and idk, India?

I've driven through Xinyang & Tibet.
I've seen the atrocities.
I don't want Europe to turn just as bad.
Europe has a future.

Unlike USA vs China.
That battle will be won by India.
