I'm constantly confused by people who see a higher poverty line as a progressive goal, as opposed to shifting focus away from the 40% of the world living on <1/10th of that amount.

#China didn't plunder other countries nor steal their land in its 1000s of years history, but it stole Tibet in 1950 & its been making threats to take Taiwan & parts of India for yrs now. India is pushing back & its good to hear that tiny Taiwan is too.

The good news is yes. The bad news is China and perhaps India are the leaders now.
But Char dyed his hair black with red highlights, and got a tan.
Like the book described him to have a tan so dark that he looks like an easterner with a sunburn...
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!
I'm guessing it means super brown???But like where in the east, like China Japan Korea India Philippines Iran???

Southeast Asia, China and the Middle-east have some of the most brutal Dictatorships. In fact, I would even add India as a Dictatorship, because voting alone does not make a country a Democracy.
