Current working theory is to install either Bazzite or ChimeraOS to get the Steam Deck like experience, but I’ll shoulder the maintenance load if Windows is required. Steam is still the best option for “gimme an App Store and leave me alone.”

Tentei instalar o EmuDeck no Mini PC que vai virar console de emulação com o ChimeraOS.
Eis que faço o download, e por algum motivo, dar dois cliques no troço não acontece nada.

Tentei instalar o EmuDeck no Mini PC que vai virar console de emulação com o ChimeraOS.

Pour plus récent oui, un vieux pc ou laptop sous un linux spé (bazzite, chimeraos, batocera) sera le mieux. Attention RCPS3 demande un cpu un minimum récent (j'ai testé l'intel de gen 3 de y'a 10 ans, même en i7 c'est pas la peine)

- Finally I'm trying #ChimeraOS. I've used it before and liked it. I do really appreciate the fact that its installer is just "We're going on this drive, are you sure?" and that's it. The graphical hiccup when switching in and out of desktop mode is gone 7/

I teach my students Windows, Mac, and normally Mint, Debian or Ubuntu depending on what one they want to try. We also install ChimeraOS or some other flavor of SteamOS Like OS for some in class gaming.

Nobara, b/c it runs a custom version of proton that allegedly has better support than othe gaming distros?
ChimeraOS because allegedly it has better controller support
Bazzite, if the other two failed.
Nothing could go wrong, yeah?

I've been tinkering with settings and successfully have Xbox, Xbox360, Sega Saturn, Ryujinx, and more working as intended.
Being able to slap JSRF up on a 55' TV and just rock it is amazing.
Working with ChimeraOS + Emudeck has been a breeze.

I'm currently trying ChimeraOS on _REALLY_ old hardware.
AMD FX 6100 (yep, six core pre ryzen) - 32GB DDR3 (that's a lot!) - RX 470 (chinese SP2048 Ellesmere "unlocked").
Seems fine.
At least I'll be able to put some old stuff to good use.

wish me luck, gonna do my first oil change on this car today and install ChimeraOS on an old W10 gaming laptop to turn it into a Steam console for our living room!

Ouais avec le Steamdeck ya eu une énorme poussée, le chimeraOS de mémoire qui taf bien. Une pote est passée en dualOS pour ça, elle s'y plait beaucoup.
