Chaplain Sophie Luther is really just a pseudonym (which I may end up turning into a fictional character). In the real world, I'm an armchair theologian at best. I do consider chaplaincy as sacred, and it's what I would aspire to do if I weren't disabled and wary of student loans I may never repay.

Unknown GZY lore: at one point I was considering a career in the chaplaincy but didn't pursue it because at the time the army didn't give religious exemptions for beards. In 2014 the rules changed and since then a number of bearded Orthodox chaplains joined.

ughh, that's annoying that she's doubling down on telling people to panic. i'm trained in chaplaincy and am also training in crisis care/situational awareness... two things can be true: it's really bad out there AND don't panic.

As heavy as hospice chaplaincy can be at times, nothing melts the heart like hearing a patient ask for more visits because they "really enjoy having someone to talk to".
