🦖 Daily Paleo 🦖; Sinoceratops zhuchengensis
From Late Cretaceous Zhucheng, China, "Chinese horned face" is a 2 ton centrosaurine known from 3 skulls and one of the largest of its group. It represents the only ceratopsid found outside of North America

Aliens? Dinosaurs? How about both?
Just a Xenoceratops ‘alien horned face’. But don’t worry, nothing burst out of its chest.
It lived in the Late Cretaceous of what is now Canada, and was roughly the size of a rhinoceros.
It is currently the oldest ceratopsid to be found in Canada.

I am going to need either a stegosaurus or a ceratopsid on at least *some* form of this currency.

There’s a bit of a paleo superstition that you’re going to make your best find on the last day.
I’d gone out to Denali National Park to be a talking head on NOVA’s “Alaskan Dinosaurs,” but, on the last afternoon, I found a hadrosaur track and a ceratopsid trackway. I named the site “Cerabottoms.”

I currently have the DinoStoreus Triceratops and Styracosaurus - I used to have a Stegosaurus but it sadly suffered a tragic mishap and is now in pieces and nothing I've done can fix it, so starting with a good Stegosaurus would be nice.

Further design work for these characters, feat. me trying to understand how clothing works.
Anatekenan [insert easier to remember last name here] is the head/financial manager of the expedition Arcanth belongs to, Lala is his goblin scribe, and Xaranthras is his personal body guard/assistant.

Happy #FossilFriday! Sinoceratops is a centrosaurine ceratopsian from Campanian China, characterized in part by a series of at least 10 frill horns (epiossifications) that curl foward over the frill. It's also the only known ceratopsid from Asia!

The eastern lorodo is a predatory ceratopsid that dwells on the far eastern coast of the Sphyran continent. These stocky predators are specialized to bring down large iguanadonts and mammals that stray too close to the thick brush of the bamboo forests.

The Megaraptor sounds cool on paper, but that's on paper
People really learned nothing from the Yi Ling and I hate them for that, like we could have gotten a really cool Azdarchid or Ceratopsid but no people had to vote for the insane sounding creature
That has literally no chance of coming as it

Based on living archosaurs, we think that a ceratopsian female would bring the chest to the ground and elevate the pelvis, and the male would mount semi-bipedally. #dinosaurs #Triceratops #PrehistoricPlanet

For today’s Jurassic June, I drew Pentaceratops! This Cretaceous herbivore was a large Ceratopsid dinosaur that lived in what is now the United States. The animal had a large crest in the shape of a Pentagon- hence the name!

Sinoceratops was the first ceratopsid dinosaur discovered in China. Her name means "Chinese Horned Face", and had a short, hooked horn on her nose and curved hornlets on her frill. Her skull is one of the largest ever known.
She lived during the late Cretaceous period, about 73 million years ago.

It was first discovered back in 1958 but wasn’t described until 2012.
While similar to Triceratops, Xenoceratops, also had horns on its frill.
