There are some staggering stats in this piece.
Hogs in Iowa generate as much solid waste as 83 million people (🤯), and adding in cattle, turkey and hens would be equivalent to waste of 134 million people. Iowa is 1.5% of US landmass. And they’re actually cutting money to reduce nitrate. 2/2

So now he's deliberately trying to bankrupt American ranchers that mostly all voted for him, to import tainted beef that have tariffs on them. He just wants us to pay more tariffs. So glad I don't eat beef. It's expensive & unhealthy for humans and the cattle. I can't look at their faces & eat them.

Brooke Rollins, Sec. of Agriculture, is from Texas A&M. Of course she's fine with diseased beef from Argentina. The Cattle Growers there are white, so what is the problem?
Can we maybe not do this?

Oh sorry I was busy and forgot about this.
From quickly googling they dehorn them to stop them injuring other cattle and farm workers. Some breeds can get ingrowing horns. Horned cows can be more aggressive. Broken horns can cause blood loss and infection.

Got mine already. It more than doubled and it's the most basic Cover CA which equates to bare min coverage for service at cattle call clinics. I'll manage but I cannot imagine how families or folks with medical issues will cope. 😡

I don't think anyone has gotten more special treatment than cattle ranchers, so I have zero sympathy for them after they backed Trump and got screwed in return.

American beef prices are sky-high. It also means beef ranching is profitable for the first time in three decades.

Trump's decision to import millions of tons of beef from his bestie in Argentina has those ranchers about ready to cattle-prod the president.

He can fuck off. No one has bought beef in 6 months. Oblivious Donnie has no idea where food comes from. It magically appears on his plate. Cattle ranchers likely voted for him, so now it’s FIND OUT time.

American Farm Bureau also stops on 1 JAN 2024.
But maybe they rely upon NASS data, I don't know.
Be interesting to see the numbers for 2025 and 2026 for cattle.
And while we're at it, 2027 and 2028.
To see how badly Trump fucks up our cattle industry.
