By extension of its association with Mercury and Hermes, the caduceus is also a symbol of commerce and negotiation, two realms in which exchange balanced by reciprocity is recognized as an ideal. [6][7][8] This association is ancient, and consistent from classical antiquity to modernity.[9][10] The caduceus is also a symbol of printing, by extension of the attributes of Mercury associated with writing and eloquence. Although the Rod of Asclepius, which has only one snake and no wings, is the traditional and more widely used symbol of medicine, the caduceus is sometimes used by healthcare organizations. Given that the caduceus is primarily a symbol of commerce and other non-medical symbology, many healthcare professionals disapprove of this use. [11]

I love that the FedSoc coin has gender symbols on it when SCOTUS waived its hand, winked comically, and said the TN law at issue did not actually target transgender people or treat people differently on the basis of sex. At least keep up the pretense and put a caduceus ☤ on there or something.

Still think the funniest localization-induced retcon comes from Trauma Center: New Blood, where they have to specify Caduceus as an East Coast USA hospital, since they changed it from Japan to U.S. for the Under the Knife translation while New Blood explicitly is meant to take place in the U.S.

Hermanubis was a syncretic Greco-Egyptian god, a fusion of Greek Hermes and the Egyptian jackal-headed god Anubis. The rites of Inventio Osiridis were timed with the receding of the Nile’s floodwaters in Oct-Nov, when farmers can sow their fields. 🏺 2/
