I just completed a questionnaire on harm in mental health care and now I feel I need a year of therapy to get over those 5 years under CMHT and crisis services.

It can be quite difficult to think about and write down all the harm and hurt that the CMHT etc do to you as a vulnerable patient

I saw my youngest sister with baby James, Margo and Heidi earlier. She made lunch for me. I've spent most of the afternoon crying at home though. I am finding things tough. Spoke to a GP this pm and all they can do is refer to IRS. They cannot approach the CMHT direct.

Call from CMHT. No keyworker allocated. I've been without support now for 8-9 weeks since being discharged from a section 3 in hospital. Explained how much I'm struggling with work, my flat, self care etc. The result? She's going to post some info to me on The Haven & counselling. This is negligence

I’ve put in a formal complaint to CMHT over how badly they treated me over the summer and complete refusal to consider reasonable adjustments. ED referral is out of area. #MadSkyChat

is in the hands of a psychiatrist who hasn't seen me for well over 15 months. What is honestly the point of being a CMHT outpatient? I just hope it goes in my favour and maybe I could even be discharged from them... 🤞🏻

Not that I’m aware of but I’m on S117 and have asked for a personal health budget to cover things like counselling that help keep me out of hospital. Not that I’ve had an answer yet, over a month on… CMHT have completely stopped communicating with me! #MadSkyChat

Everything is out of sync. I have to call the cmht every fortnight for my quetiapine, the GP surgery every fortnight for my levothyroxine and then every month for my venlafaxine. I can't see this going wrong at all, can you...

For us it was the other way around - but that's the basic story, cmht rejected her first as "not mental enough" and then talking therapies have rejected her as "too mental"

Chaser to this shot is calling the CMHT to say you’re struggling to avoid significant self harm and the best they can do is agree with you that there are no accessible help arrangements available

So far this year I've seen my support worker from CMHT once. He's forgotten a meeting and two phone calls. I've had no other support.

My friend is in literal crisis, turned up for her crisis appointment yesterday to be told it has been cancelled.

I can't even tell you how bad the care is right now

Ah yes, the full time job of managing CMHT. X sending patience your way.
I just don't see how dangerous has been a label assigned to you

In Scotland, if you're with a CMHT, then you have easier access to voluntary admission. Many of our psychiatrists are abusive especially with patients they don't like. Those not with CMHT have much more difficulty accessing voluntary admission

So right. I worked in the NHS all my life as a front line CMHT manager for the last 20 years. When we failed to meet our ludicrous KPIs senior mgmt used to threaten that we’d be sold off to the private sector. We knew it was bollocks. We were too high risk to interest them. 1/2

DID healthcare update: the referral has officially been denied. I can't be referred from my GP. They want us to go through secondary mental health, which means Complex Needs or CMHT. Neither of these do DID to my knowledge. I've asked for a referral to them anyway. Next update 10th Jan
DID healthcare update: apparently something we've done has got the attention of "the gods of the NHS" and they're having high levels meetings about the fact that the DID referral pathway is not consistent across the NHS trusts, and discussing their contract with CTAD
Referral rejected. He says he's going to challenge it on my behalf as they don't seem to be following their own pathway. Next update on 29th

I wish it was different, I wish the CMHT would listen to me, I wish the housing charity wouldnt ghost me, and I wish the council wouldn't treat me like im stupid.

And I wish I wouldn't have to pay for the eviction warrant when it arrives bc thats just...salt in the wound.

Can't say the reverse was better in Glasgow. Discharged from CMHT, I wasn't told that it'd finally been processed - I got the letter in the post. Took them over a month after this to write to GP to let her know.

I believe it's utterly inhumane that a CMHT, which collaborates with highly vulnerable individuals, does not provide any support whatsoever concerning benefits. It's critically important for there to be a team or any form of support available to aid and assist the vulnerable.

Literally just rescheduled the beginning of next week so I can take my dad to some appts (COVID-19 booster & dentist, so pretty important) and I don't even get a word of thanks. Luckily I saw the MH nurse yesterday at the CMHT & managed to have a good discussion on how this is impacting my mood.

CMHT discriminated so I doubt IAPT is any better. It's still weird hearing that there's nothing in Notts, because I was sectioned there in 2020 and my nurse couldn't understand how there was nothing in Lincolnshire because there was there. Maybe they didn't really know.

Hmm, yes, I can see that might not get a favourable response from the CMHT. Moreover your preference is paramount.
