This weekend 83-year-old Ouattara "won" his fourth term in the Ivory Coast. He is, however, a youngster compared to 92 year-old Paul Biya in Cameroon who "won" his eight term. We are truly living in an age of absurdly old dictators.

We are still waiting for presidential election results from Cameroon. The last date for the court to certify the results is Monday, 27 October. The internet in Cameroon has been shut down for a week now after protests erupted in response to the delayed results.
