This is my #bookblanket2025 progress for reads through October! 86 books & 86 squares. My husband & I are excited for it to be complete so we can stay extra warm this winter!

Crochet granny square blanket on a king size bed. The squares are all unique as they were based on different book covers and they cover the bed with a partial row hanging off the end. There are 86 squares as that is how many books I've read through October.

I finished attaching all the September book squares to this blanket with 11 hours to go in October! I'm afraid if I let myself fall behind the blanket will never be finished so...onward! This is 78 squares on a king size bed.

A king size bed nearly covered with a blanket made of all unmatching granny squares. Each square is 9 rows big but the colors/design of each one were picked to match a book cover. I had finished 78 books as of 9/30/25 so that's how many squares there currently are!

My final read of September is #78 for the year so far. I trust Dr. Osterholm as a source for public health so I had to read the book. It was strange listening to someone else read his words after listening to his podcast for so long! lol

Catch up time. Here's book 25! This is one of those books that was written for younger readers/ya and really packs a good punch.

I wish I had planned the square out a little more to refine the spotlight but it's done and unique so I love it!

Book 22! This was a very short graphic novel that I was able to check out via Hoopla. First time reading a graghic novel on my tablet but it went well! Also, I need to expand my shades of blue yarn stash I think...this one's a bit dark.

I joined all the squares for my #bookblanket2025 through June reads! If I can read 90 books this year I'll have a blanket that covers the bed. Challenge accepted! Here it is with 47 books/squares complete. #crochet #grannysquare
An in-progress blanket on a bed. The blanket is made up of 47 unique granny squares, each one represents the book cover for a book I've read since January. It is currently covering half of a king size bed and I hope to have a fully king size blanket by the end of the year.

Book 31! This one I definitely selected to fill a prompt in the BYL Reading Challenge - Read Banned Books. I listened to the audio and appreciated that there were multiple narrators as it made the story easier to follow.

Book 15: Sorcery and Small Magics.
