Started walking again after a small break (wedding, working food service during holidays, asthma adjusting to cold weather.)

Here is blog I wrote last year in August about walking. :)

Sometimes, I think I'm exgarating about my health.
Other times, I realise I went through 2 procedures for my uterus, a new asthma treatment plan, a concussion, a bronchitis, a sinus infection, a torn eardrum, a procedure for arthritis (on top of regular migraines, anemia and the rest) in 2 months.

Oh, and I got an asthma attack thanks to a dog in our caravan, fell out of the same caravan and broke my rib AND for good measure, got stung by a fish.

And yet I still maintain it was a fun holiday.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

The sooner entire UK fleet is free of this violence-funding, smog producing, asthma triggering, water poisoning, climate-trashing toxic industry the better for UK & its people.

Sonia Gandhi admitted with respiratory discomfort, condition stable | India News – The Times of India
NEW DELHI: Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital late Monday night after she developed respiratory discomfort due to a mild exacerbation of bronchial asthma, hospital authorities said on Tuesday, adding that her condition is now stable.Doctors said the asthma flare-up was triggered by the combined effects of cold weather and high pollution levels in the capital. She was admitted around 10 pm as a precautionary measure for observation and treatment.According to Dr Ajay Swaroop, chairman of the hospital, Gandhi is responding well to treatment and is being managed with antibiotics and other supportive medication.A decision on her discharge will be taken by the treating physicians based on her clinical progress and is likely in a day or two, the hospital said. So stupid. The RSV vaccine wasn’t available when my almost 2 month old had it - was put in an ambulance and spent a week in the nicu. She developed asthma as a result and now over a decade later, every cold has the potential to turn into something bad for her.

Nothing like waking in the night with blood pouring from your nose.

I guess I need to buy a new humidifier. I don't like using it all the time because of the upkeep, and I don't want to risk upsetting my asthma with mold. But I also don't like the nearly daily nose bleeds from the dry winter air. 😫

Couldn’t work on pubby cuz I gave myself a asthma attack and now I’m tired 💔
But I technically finished a comm. I just have to get approval and then send the final files

Time for the first dose of emergency asthma steroids thanks to this cold. It's almost as if chronic illness doesn't care about it being a new year. At least there's bluesky to moan about it on I suppose.

Which I couldn't do before, because there are no urgent cares around here that accept the garbage version of Medi-Cal I have, and the wait list to get into the one clinic around here that accepts it is months long. And I didn't want to spend 8+ hours in the ER over what is likely asthma.

Not to mention, but I will, medication prices have risen significantly. In one case, as much as 50% for an asthma inhaler.
💩 is going to start hitting the fan real soon
Chris Murphy: "At some level he's winning tonight because clearly part of his intent here was to distract the American people -- you and I -- from what's happening here at home. You have 20 million families who are getting massive increases in their healthcare premiums. People will die."

(My apologies for the hiccup in the thread. My roommate made some really odoriferous dinner that triggered my asthma and allergies--and I'm kinda reeling)

And I lost my focus

The next part was to highlight the questions that ppl need to ask themselves before investing in a dedicated effort.

Your city gave me asthma.
So that's why I'm fucking leaving.
And your water gave me cancer.

“…people will drop coverage entirely. Others will keep insurance in name only, avoiding care b/c of higher deductibles and…out-of-pocket…Preventive visits…postponed. Prescriptions…unfilled. Chronic conditions incl diabetes, hypertension & asthma will quietly worsen until they become emergencies.” 🤬
Opinion | I'm an ER doc. I know the damage the expiration of ACA subsidies will cause.
Dr. Uché Blackstock: The sudden unaffordability of health care premiums means emergency departments will see more patients arriving later and sicker.
